Hayden Forest Annual Woods Walk

Hayden Forrest TrailStep into nature for the ANNUAL WOODS WALK hosted by the Grafton Improvement Association on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2023 at 1:00 pm.

Come take advantage of the great bargains at the Fall Foliage Firemen’s Festival in the morning and come enjoy a casual stroll in the Hayden Brown Forest in the afternoon.

  • The Annual Woods Walk starts at Bill Brown’s house. Bill’s grandfather donated the land but cut out a small piece of land for his family first.  Here’s a Map to Bill’ House from the center of Grafton.  (Go across the Kidder Hill Covered Bridge and follow the road until the end (of Class 3 road).
  • PARKING – There are plenty of places to park.
  • DOGS – Although there are no rules for or against dogs, we ask that everyone use their best judgement.  Dogs are allowed, just don’t let them interfere with the days enjoyment for others.
  • LENGTH – Bill Brown will be leading the walk.  The walk begins at Bill’s house, out to the soapstone quarries, and back (2.4 miles, round trip).  It’s slightly uphill on the way out (and downhill on the way back!).  Here’s a  Google Map of the Walk as taken in the past.

The event is finished.
